Why La Jolla Cosmetic Surgery Centre Came to LMA

La Jolla Cosmetic Surgery Centre hired LMA Marketing and Advertising in 2019 to create a marketing plan which would help them increase market share and revenue. After four years of successful marketing and growth, La Jolla Cosmetic was looking to more finely tune their target market and continue to increase efficiency in reaching their customer base despite the declining demand across the cosmetic surgery industry.

What did LMA do?

LMA executed market research, identifying the different market segments for La Jolla Cosmetic to target, and creating four (4) patient personas. Utilizing this knowledge, LMA developed a strategy to reach each persona based on the media they consume. LMA launched a new campaign that highlighted the specialties of each surgeon, which ran on podcasts with captivating display ads, further emphasizing the level of skill and patient care La Jolla Cosmetic provides.

LMA selected radio stations that fit each patient profile and created compelling content using influencers such as Laura Cain from Star 94.1 and John & Tammy from KSON. These popular San Diego personalities resonated with the target markets, while utilizing their personal experiences to foster trust and pique interest. On TV, LMA developed fresh commercial content that ran on female-skewing networks. This approach established multiple points of contact and re-engaged the target personas across all media platforms they frequent, solidifying La Jolla Cosmetic as their top choice for cosmetic surgery.

Results

LMA’s data-driven decision-making and media expertise enabled La Jolla Cosmetic Surgery Centre to successfully navigate market shifts and experience expansive growth amid political and economic uncertainty. They’ve significantly increased appointments and driven higher revenue. In 2024, cases increased 19.6%. and revenue went up 23.8% from 2023.
